Home Announcement Champaign Two Dog Parks = Two Fobs

[Champaign] Two Dog Parks = Two Fobs

There are two dog park in the CU area.  The Urbana Park District’s dog park is located on Perkins Road in northeast Urbana.  The Champaign Park District’s Bark Park is located on Windsor Road in southwest Champaign. The districts offer a reciprocal agreement, where members of one dog park may use the other dog park.  However, the gate systems are not the same and a separate fob is required for each dog park.

To obtain a fob for the Champaign Park District’s Bark Park, you must bring a copy of your Urbana Park District dog park membership receipt to the Champaign Park District’s Leonhard Recreation Center.

The Champaign Park District’s Bark Park gate system has recently been installed. There will be a transition period for people to purchase their tags from now until January 20. The gate will lock on January 20 at 5a.

Dog park members prior to September 16, 2019 are grandfathered into the new gate system and do not need to pay for their first fob. You must show your membership receipt for the 2019 year to qualify.  All other members must pay the $10 fee for a fob, an extra fob or replacement fob – this is for both park districts.

If your CPD fob does not work, please call 217-398-2550.
